During the last months, ONBOARD partnership had been working on WP2 – Study on Apprenticeships Training Needs for the Ports and Logistics by doing desk and field research (public consultations – personal interviews, online questionnaires and focus group with relevant stakeholders) in order to understand the ports and logistics sector and, with bigger detail, to gather information related to apprenticeships’ offers in this sector.
The two big aims of this study are to: 1) identify the skills needs of the SMEs of the ports and logistics sector with a focus on its value chains; and 2) collect evidence on existing training offer in the ports and logistics sector, establishing a link between the offer and the skills needs of the labour market.
Now this study has its first result complete: Deliverable 2.1 – Technical Profiles and Training Offers in Ports and Logistics Sector: trends and needs. This is a document that gathers all the information related to the ONBOARD comprehensive study on Apprenticeships’ offers in ports and logistics sector. It includes: introduction to the methodological approach of the study; presentation of the guidelines, tools and instruments used by partners; sum up of the study main results; contributions for the following WPs of the project.
