“Portuguese Initiative for the Vitality of Smaller Cities” side event during the EU Week of Regions and Cities

In the next October month, INOVA+ will be participating on the European Week of Regions and Cities, in Brussels. According to this, the Intermunicipal Communities of Centro Region of Portugal* will organize, with support of INOVA+, on the 9th October morning, the side event “Portuguese Initiative for the Vitality of Smaller Cities”, to be held on the Molise House.

*Intermunicipal Communities of Centro Region of Portugal: Beira Alta e Serra da Estrela, Beira Baixa, Médio Tejo, Região de Aveiro e Região de Coimbra.

Concerning the European Week of Regions and Cities, which will take place on 7-10 October 2019, in Brussels, the Intermunicipal Communities of the Centro Region of Portugal created a document that aims to improve the formulation of innovation policies for the benefit of these regions. This proposal gives name to the event that will take place on October 9th at Molise House.

The under population of some European Union regions is increasingly becoming a topic of debate among policy makers. The lack of support and the challenges they face related to demographic change raise questions about EU funding for regional development.

This is your chance to discuss strategies for the vitality of smaller cities and regions in the European Union. The participation is free, but registration mandatory through the link: https://vitality-of-smaller-cities.eventbrite.co.uk .

    Event’s address: Rue De Tolouse, 47 – B1040 Brussels – Belgium.

The final program will be announced soon!
