INOVA+ participates at Make Your Way training

INOVA+ is this week present at Make Your Way training at Karviná, Czech Republic.

During the week, partners from Portugal, Spain, Poland and Czech Republic will be trained on soft and technical skills that Vocational Education and Training (VET) students can develop while working at Fab Labs. The week will include several interactive groups training on business soft skills – teamwork, leadership, business planning and customer orientation – as well as hard skills such as construction or 3D printers.

Besides, the partnership will visit and get inspired from some of the good examples from the region, such as Střední průmyslová škola Karviná, Svět techniky Ostrava, MSIC, IdeaHub Ostrava and Fajna Dilna Ostrava.

Make Your Way project intends to develop relevant collaborations to open further opportunities for young VET students to apply knowledge in practical, “hands-on”, and “real life” workplace situations, at the same trying to enhance their entrepreneurial attitudes, in particular by working in “Fab labs”/ LABs – mall-scale workshop offering digital fabrication, proven to boost innovation and entrepreneurship, as they are platform for learning and innovation: a place to play, to create, to learn, to mentor, to invent.

Furthermore, Make Your Way intends to contribute to the continuous professional development of VET teachers, trainers and mentors in both school and work-based settings, with a focus on developing effective digital, open and innovative education and pedagogies. For the project will develop materials that can help those professionals assist young VET learners in taking the most benefit from using LABs and from other WBL solutions, as well as spread the concept of LABs and promote their closer collaborations with the VET system.
