Relevance and impact of the Onboard project

    Two years pass by since the beginning of the Onboard.

    This project arised from a vision of stakeholders of the maritime sector that accepted the challenge of joining efforts and thinking together in different approaches and strategies, fostering the strengthen of VET-business partnerships on apprenticeships of the ports and logistics sector.

    Two years of history ruled by challenges, permanent changes and many doubts that only the will to make the difference and develop resources with real impact in the sector could successfully overcome. Onboard history is duly documented at the website, in which apprenticeships’ providers, companies, professionals and experts of the ports and logistics can also access the main resources structured by the partnership, namely the:

    – Technical profiles & curricula for the apprenticeships of ports & logistics;

    – Apprenticeship model addressed to key-professionals;

    – Training programme and materials for key-professionals of the apprenticeship.

    These results and all the activities performed by partners in the last 6 months of the project implementation are the main topics of the 3rd and final issue of the Onboard Newsletter, which is available in English and Portuguese. As a complement to the website and newsletter and to better understand the real impact of the Onboard in the perspective of organisations and professionals acting in the ports and logistics sector, we invite you to see the final video of the project, produced with the support from some of the associated partners of the Onboard.

    Keep following in the project on Twitter and check all the activities and results at the website.
