PARE project partners met once again last week at the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in Lisbon to discuss the project achievements and on-going and future activities.
On the 2nd of March, the consortium discussed the preparation of PARE’s 3rd and final yearly report, including the elaboration of the two new “What If” studies addressing subjects of major interest to the aviation community, and the participation of PARE in future events to disseminate the project results.
Since the project ends in September, this meeting was also useful to delineate some strategic actions in order to guarantee the sustainability of the project. One envisaged action is the application of PARE yearly report’s methodology, used for Aeronautics, to Space.
PARE also participated, on the 3rd of March, with a special session at IST’s Aerospace Week, which is an event organized by IST students and aimed at providing opportunity for face-to-face contact between IST students and companies in the aeronautical/aerospace sector.
PARE – Perspectives for Aeronautical Research in Europe, is the name of a European initiative funded by the Horizon 2020 programme, aimed at triggering strong collaboration between various European stakeholders to support the achievement of the Flightpath 2050 goals, established by the Advisory Council for Aviation Research and Innovation in Europe (ACARE). The project is coordinated by IST and managed by INOVA+.
