INOVA + supports NANIUM in the preparation and approval of an R&D project in co-promotion (Portugal 2020).

The IoTiP – Internet of Things in Package: Wafer Level Modular Architecture for Internet of Things is the latest R&D project (Portugal 2020) promoted by the company NANIUM in cooperation with Fraunhofer Portugal, with a total investment of approximately 0.7M € .

IoTiP is dedicated to the research and development of a platform to support the development of solutions for the “Internet of Things” (IoT), focused on a new SiP (System-in-Package) and the software infrastructure that allows rapid design and the scalability of the solution in terms of production.

NANIUM intends to present a solution that will accelerate and simplify the process of developing and producing solutions for the Internet of Things, eliminating barriers that can condition its rapid growth, such as associated costs, difficulties industrialization of developed applications, development times associated with the design and production of IoT devices, among others.

In addition to the development of the platform, the IoTiP project also aims to respond to more technological challenges, such as miniaturization, reduction of energy consumption, simplicity of integration with other systems or access to more abstraction levels of information thus contributing to the affirmation of Portugal as a supplier of innovative products on a global scale.
