INOVA+ approves a new application for the RUN-EU project to the European Universities initiative, now called RUN-EU 2.0. The European Commission has granted a total of €14.4 million for the next four years.

The results of the application submitted by the Regional University Network – European University (RUN-EU), in January, to the Erasmus+ 2023 Call, have been released, making it one among the only 50 European Alliances in action. By applying to Theme 1 of this Call – “Intensification of prior deep institutional transnational cooperation”, RUN-EU 2.0 will be able to keep building upon the institutional cooperation achieved so far and to further deepen, intensify and expand the effectiveness of this existing cooperation.

INOVA+ once again had the role of supporting the writing and submission of the proposal, providing specialized consultancy. The relationship established already in 2020, when the first application resulted in the constitution of the RUN-EU, with an incentive of € 5M, will continue to be solid over the next four years, since INOVA+ will support the entire consortium in the implementation.

A total of nine European higher education institutions are now members of this Alliance, since the consortium has been extended with the participation of the University of Burgos (Spain) and the Howest University of Applied Sciences (Belgium).

According to the Polytechnic of Leiria, RUN-EU 2.0 will invest in an “extensive mobility program, with student immersion experiences and the mobilization of teachers, researchers and technical staff to promote activities of development and pedagogical innovation, research and sharing of good practices”.

European Universities are part of the Erasmus+ program, and are transnational alliances between higher education institutions across the EU focused on creating benefits for students, teachers and society. These partnerships are intended to result in the universities of the future, promoting European values, quality and competitiveness of higher education in Europe.
