GLN PLAST, S.A., in partnership with INOVA+, developed the GIM2020 project, based on a submitted and approved application for Productive Innovation in Portugal 2020, with a total investment of over € 7M.

The GIM2020 project aims to implement a change in the production process, responding to new production needs and specific requests from certain customers, as well as the exploration of new market segments and higher added value, with emphasis on international markets.

Underlying the project was a significant innovation in the manufacture and assembly of high precision injected micro parts, including the creation of new robotic and automated assembly lines. The project foresees several types of investment namely in cutting-edge technology, certification of the quality of new products and processes, environmental area and other typologies.

The realization of this project will strengthen the company’s presence in foreign markets and significantly increase the number of highly qualified jobs.
