What is the ClinicalModelling Project?

The main aim of ClinicalModelling is to develop, test and extend the use of videos as an educational tool to promote learning by modelling. The process involves the observation of videos, produced in surgical scenarios, by professionals and students from the hospitals and universities participating in the project consortium. These videos can be recorded in a real or simulated context.

Use of Smartglasses in Healthcare Training

One of the project’s key innovations is the use of smartglasses by the surgeons, nurses, teachers and students involved in ClinicalModelling. This approach aims to improve the technical and emotional skills of the participants, promoting continuous professional development in the healthcare sector.

ClinicalModelling thus makes a significant contribution to the professional development of healthcare professionals and to strengthening the skills of the students who take part in surgical simulations. It also promotes more practical and immersive training, helping students to develop skills in clinical scenarios, with direct feedback on their performances from both colleagues and trainers.
