Celebrating the 9th Edition of ErasmusDays: A Look to the Future – from Disinformation to Digital Literacy
From 13 to 18 October 2025, Europe celebrates the 9th edition of #ErasmusDays—an opportunity to reinforce the importance of academic mobility and European education.

This international event will bring together students, educators, professionals, and citizens to showcase the benefits of the Erasmus+ programme and share success stories. For INOVA+, it will also be an important opportunity to host an event at the School of Education of Coimbra (ESEC) on 14 October.
ErasmusDays: A Celebration of Diversity and European Identity
#ErasmusDays is a celebration of education and cultural diversity, focusing on the impact the Erasmus+ programme has on thousands of lives. These days represent a moment of unity in Europe, where experiences are shared, a sense of common identity is strengthened, and the exchange of knowledge and good practices is promoted.
This year, the event organised by Mentortec and INOVA+ features two European projects focused on digital and media literacy: Think Twice and Digital Literate . Through these projects, the participating organisations aim to highlight the importance of empowering educators and students to face the challenges of digitalisation, combating disinformation and integrating media literacy into teaching practices.
The Importance of Erasmus+ Programmes
Erasmus+ programmes are essential to the success of initiatives like this. The Think Twice project (Key Action 2) focuses on skills acquisition, knowledge sharing, and professional integration, offering students and professionals the chance to expand their networks, improve employability, and strengthen their sense of belonging to a common European identity. The Digital Literate project (also Key Action 2) promotes international collaboration, enabling organisations to improve the quality of their activities and enhance social and educational impact through innovative practices.
The Role of the Escola Superior de Educação de Coimbra (ESEC)
The event will take place at the Escola Superior de Educação de Coimbra (ESEC), an institution that has stood out for its mission to provide high-level training adapted to the needs of modern society, aiming for successful professional performance. The presence of ESEC’s International Relations Office is of utmost importance, as it reinforces the school’s commitment to internationalisation and to creating new collaboration opportunities for its students and educational community.
Event Programme: “Explore, Learn, Transform”
The agenda will include contributions from ESEC’s Presidency and the coordination team of the International Relations Office. It will also feature crucial themes for the future of education, including:
- Tools for teaching and learning in the digital sphere, with Márcia Gouveia from INOVA+ and the Digital Literate project;
- Digital citizenship: from thought to action, with Marta Reis and Maria Rodrigues from Mentortec (a company of the INOVA+ group) and the Think Twice project.
The importance of Media and Digital Literacy will be the central focus, with an emphasis on equipping educators and students to deal with disinformation—a growing phenomenon in the digital world. The event will also serve as a platform to present innovative tools and resources that can be used by teachers, schools, and other organisations in the education sector.
Through the synergy between the Think Twice and Digital Literate projects, as well as Mentortec and INOVA+, the event will not only raise awareness and disseminate knowledge, but also underscore the importance of European initiatives that involve different countries and cultures. This joint effort to combat disinformation and promote digital citizenship reflects both organisations’ commitment to creating a positive impact on educational communities.
