The EIC Accelerator is part of the European Innovation Council (EIC) program targeting SMEs, supporting projects with high market potential in the development, validation, and scale-up stages of innovative solutions.

Selected projects receive funding and support in the form of grant-only or blended finance, which can include: Uup to €2.5 million in grants (non-refundable), with 70% co-financing and equity investment between €0.5 million and €15 million.

Targeted at high-growth projects and potential unicorns, the EIC Accelerator is continuously open throughout the year (until December 18) for submission of short proposals for pre-selection.

Projects with a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) between 6 and 8 may be funded via a grant (non-refundable).
Projects at a higher TRL can receive blended finance: a grant combined with equity (convertible loan or other debt-related financial instruments).
