ProBleu has 300 thousand euros to support school projects on Ocean and Water Literacy
The ProBleu project, of which INOVA+ is one of the promoters, has launched its second funding contest to support schools in promoting Ocean and Water Literacy. This competition will support projects up to a maximum of 10 thousand euros and has a total allocation of 300 thousand euros.

The contest is intended to support school projects from primary and secondary schools across Europe and 18 associated countries that aim to promote blue literacy and citizen science through various types of activities. Projects lasting up to 12 months can be supported, promoted by schools that belong to or have started the process of joining the Network of European Blue Schools.
Schools can apply until April 30th 2024 by using the documents available for this purpose on the project website: https://probleu.school/probleu-funding-calls/.
A digital information session open to interested schools will be held on March 12th at 09:00 (Portuguese time), subject to registration here: https://lnkd.in/dEDhc9cT.
INOVA+ represents Portugal in the consortium of the ProBleu project, funded by the Horizon Europe programme, to promote ocean and water literacy. The project aims to expand and strengthen the European Network of Blue Schools by providing new educational resources and financial support for innovative educational projects that improve understanding of critical environmental issues, including pollution (eutrophication, plastics, etc.), climate change and overfishing.
ProBleu is coordinatedby the Institut de Ciències del Mar (ICM-CSIC, Barcelona) and includes five other partners working together to guarantee the project’s objective: Kaunas University of Technology (KTU, Lithuania), INOVA+ (Portugal), Earthwatch (UK), Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML, UK) and Ocean Conservation Trust (UK).
